Training to become a mentor

We understand that enterprise mentoring may not be part of your day job and we’re sure you recognise how rewarding it is to share your knowledge, skills and experience with others.

We also know how important it is for new mentors to be confident in this role. Research proves that the success of any mentoring relationship doubles when mentors have been through a training and accreditation programme. It is an indication of quality and provides recognition.

A true mentoring relationship is a mutually beneficial learning experience for both mentor and mentee and this starts with mentor training. To support high-quality mentoring, SFEDI has developed a programme of training, materials and nationally recognised qualifications for the entire journey of an enterprise mentor.
